If the above instructions don’t change anything, well, sometimes the App Store is very slow. Occasionally the best remedy is to wait a few minutes and try again (or even a few hours! ?).
What if I have an Android or a Mac or Windows PC?
Mac: Read this page. For now, contact us for installation instructions.
Windows: For a QWERTY based keyboard, install the Keyman app‘s “Yiddish, Eastern” (Yiddish Pasekh) keyboard.
For a standard Hebrew based keyboard, am still researching.
Android: For a QWERTY based keyboard, install the Keyman app’s Yiddish-ZC keyboard. Follow the installation instructions here. Read the section that begins “If you would like to try out my new Yiddish-ZC layout, installation is fairly simple”. Also read “Update-25-Jul-2015”. You’ll need to read both sections of that web page.
For a standard Hebrew based keyboard, install the Yiddish Keyboard Plugin to the Multiling O keyboard (not personally tested). Follow the installation instructions on that page.
